Evil

Evil insinuates
Itself into our lives.

Its shadow grows longer
In light. Evil survives.

Good folk just do nothing.
Evil triumphs that way.

There are evil people
Throughout the world today.

All of them like Coldplay.

Sardonic, and I like that. What I found rather hysterical (this has nothing to do with your poem) is that to the right hand side of your poem as I have it on my screen is the avatar of one of the most evil people I've ever met. Amazingly ironic/coincidental.

Anyway, I was going to leave some smarta$$ comment in Spanish, but changed my mind. The middle stanza says it all, and the end made me giggle.

If I considered the effect of my work I would write about bunny rabbits and ice creams.

Interesting... the way you use coldplay feels like a piss take, it hones in and rounds off the edge. Its nice.

Although you might want to reflect, in the piece, on the effectiveness or the contribution of it as a tool for against or of evil. We must all consider the effect of our work. Something you might want to consider... but which you do not have to.

Cheers,
Bees
