sunset

should i be sad?
are you that bad?

is it the end of the day?
or the end of a day?

are you going down?
or have i gone up?

the colors of the rainbow
tell me the rain is over

your bright reds and blinding oranges
tell me that the day is over

when the rain stops, i smile
when the day ends, i sigh

the sun has set.
setting me up to see another sun.

rest.

Goodness. Simple words, simple scene, something bigger moving behind it all. A sense of cosmic correctness. The detached observer.

I like this.

nice to see a longer piece. the repetitiveness doesn't work for me though.. but i do get a sense that that is exactly your point. How your day just keeps repeating itself and everything becomes monotonous. And something adds color (your bright reds and blinding oranges), briefly waking you up only to result in the same damn thing all over again. I don't know..this is just my interpretation of it. nice write. =)
