TAMMY WHY-NOT

When Tammy dies will I ever know?
Will they invite me to her funeral
or will i sneak in the back like a cloud
full of rain over something I'll never know

I'm a secret, kept under her tongue
as she's swallowing her pills
and feeding her fish

Can I tell the world
how she told me she could sing
just like Tammy Wynette
and fell so rediculously short
but I listened anyway

'koo koo kee choo Missus Robinson'

Will anybody know
how i prayed for you
and all your treatments
how I shaved my head
just to relate
feeling so vain
so little

Can I speak about
how terrible i felt
leaving you in the mornings
hoping never to run into
your son
and HIS son
that you loved so much

and how about the fact
that there was a little bit
inside of me
that didn't believe
the stories you told
because i've ran with the
crazy ones
before

and how i've felt sick
ever since

Will anybody know
just how nice
you were
to me
when nobody else
was.

You've crafted a very intresting and lovely atmosphere with this piece. The questioning of the narator can be something the read can identify with well.

well formatted, great word choices!
