The Clown's Creed
I believe that laughter is greater than all riches.
For amongst all the earth's treasures,
none are more precious
than the jewels of joy and happiness.
I believe that laughter and liberation blend together,
in good times as well as in hardships,
pain, and injustice.
For no matter how we struggle,
life is always larger than we are.
So we cannot stop struggling, liberating,
and laughing at ourselves silly at the same time.
I believe that laughter is greater than knowledge,
for reality is always bigger,
than its most knowledgeable interpretations.
Yet we must not stop from interpreting reality
nor must we stop laughing at our interpretations.
i believe that laughter will keep us standing
amidst the great mystery that surrounds us....
even from within.
lest we be clumsy and lose our marbles.
And all knowledge will pass,
and all the earth may fade,
and all our lives be dust...
but cosmic jokes go on forever.
with laughter, you can die smiling.
With joy, you can see the nameless and live.
