Twinned

Twinned

Las Vegas's twinned with Templepatrick
I saw the sign, it was fucking magic.
For the two are totally unalike,
One dull, dreary, the other bright lights.
One surrounded by sand, one garnished in green,
One a gambling Mecca, the other, well'¦green.
A city of sin or a timid wee town.
One sleepy, boring, one's whoring astounds.
One has one shop, one's loadsa casinos,
The ones one shop's called cleverly, 'Vivo.'¯
A roundabout or an infamous strip,
Ireland's tidiest town or strippers, who strip,
Elvis, Sinatra or an auld doll called Mavis,
Templepatrick comin' atcha,
Vivo Las Vegas.

Imagine all the disapointed americans who come over saying stuff like "we're twinned with this city in Ireland" just to find dreary old go to bed at nine o clock Templepatrick.
