Got?
Got?
The Great Dope Drought of Summer 06.
With none about, no immediate fix
The locals are restless, unglazed eyes
Search for suppressants far and wide.
Bar-side tensions, hostile and hot,
Nobody mentions if anyone's got.
Desperate discretion, hushed corner talks,
Unanswered question, has anyone got?
Black birds gather atop every bar,
Natives slabber 'neath orange tinged stars.
Unfolding predictions of drug starved scavengers,
Nervous addiction wrecking and ravaging,
High strung twitching, tourettes type talk.
Everyone's itching but nobody's got.
Everyone's wanting a quick puff of pot.
Withdrawal haunting, has anyone got?
Sleeping bag faces show torment within,
Hunting for traces at bottoms of bins.
Contact accomplices with pitiful pleas
But cannot accomplish a Q of class Cs.
The U.D.A. say dope deals must stop.
They'll get their way and notch up the cost,
Tokers restricted to terrorist shops
And coz we're addicted we'll give what we got?
