How Come?

How Come
by õ!ô~*`Bryce Dressler`*~ô!õ

How come you had to do it?
Why'd you go away?
You could've talked to me
Why couldn't it wait a day?

How come you had to do it?
Why'd you have to die?
Because now every night
I lay in bed and cry

The nights we spent out
Alone in the rain
To the time we held hands
At the Homecoming game

It all seemed so happy
To good to be true
Why you went and did this
I still don't have a clue

I spent hours thinking
To find out what to do
I thought as hard as I could
But all I thought about was you

I finally decided
In the early morning
to pick up a knife
and die without warning

As I quickly faded
And lie there lifelessly
I did not fight the pain
Because death isn't frightening

Dieing for who I loved
Was the smartest thing I did
To prove to everyone
That our love could not be hid

Our love is deep
Deeper than the earth
Meeting her in heaven
Will be our rebirth

Adults of both
Walked into the room
Noticing the body
Of a boy that died too soon

A note layed on his chest
Filled with words and letters
They picked up the note
It couldn't have gotten better

"Look at me laying in blood.
And I pray that you don't shed a tear
I have lost my one and only love
And have gone to heaven to be near."

The parents looked up in awe
Until the bigger picture they finally saw
Although love is deaf and blind
True love will always speak it's mind.
