A Simple Vase
As I look at their vibrant happiness
A glowing smile is always found
They can lift the darkest of mood
Or turn the worst day around.
From the dazzling tints of yellow
This honeycombed world of summer
Held by the sugary pollen stems
Where fleeting bees played the seasons drummer.
The laughing warmth in which they bring
It heals the mind, the body it empowers
And I will never forget the elation I discovered
Whilst looking at a simple vase of sunflowers.

I like your words, writing style. Nice poem.

Beautiful imagery. The second stanza is my favourite too. Just one thing, should the title be 'A Simple Vase' instead of 'An...'? But good write, keep up the good work.

Hi Daniel, many thanks for your reader request. Sorry I have had to resort to writing to you in a comment box but I am a lowly Spoiled Ink reader or somesuch, which basically means that I am not allowed to send emails without paying a charge. Skanky, I know. Bear with me; I am currently dead busy with work. However, as soon as it calms down, I will take a look at some of your work. Regards, Sherrilyn aka Linza1978

Even small things can bring a drop of happyness on a bad day. The 2nd stanza is my favorite one. Good write.
