Faults

I'm possessive
I'm neurotic
I look for faults
I have a mind a convict would be ashamed of
I whinge
I whine
I'm fussy
I drink
I swear
I can't settle
I'm overly independent
I bottle my emotions
I have a quick temper
I'm sarcastic
I've been known to be a smartarse
I hold a grudge and I won't tell you why
I have possibly THE most annoying laugh in the world
I avoid the issue
I talk in tangents
I'll avoid you if I'm mad
I don't like surprises
I don't like romance
I take you out of your comfort zone
And yet you stick around
You say you'll go to the end of the earth to make me happy
Even after all my faults
You say you love me
And you know what?
I think I love you too

Those lines made the poem for me. Very emotional and carries a firm meaning. Nicely done.

"I have a mind a convict would be ashamed of". I like that. And I like the first short three lines leading up to it, "Iā??m possessive / Iā??m neurotic / I look for faults" - it builds up a sort of rhythm that the fourth line breaks with, adding emphasis. And I love when the writer puts emphasis on a line that I like so much. Well done:)

The last six lines are my favorites. After all, isn't that what love is all about?

Thanks for the smile.
