Fearless, Immune and Ready for All
The hard rain finally fell
but I never stopped to open my eyes
There are some who would say
the truth will make you blind.
Still, there are some who would say
we are always wasting our time
Each second will pass without warning
amounting to nothing
it'll all be over in the blink of an eye...
That's why I keep mine closed.
Another drop of rain falls
from a god down to my head
The waters rushed in behind me
but left my brothers sleeping comfortably
I should've had one of their beds
The road's have been flooded
All the dams have overflowed
I'm soaked,
I'm soaked,
I'm soaked,
Alone, Alive
Freein' my mind like a rolling stone.
So naive, so completely full of hope,
I don't know where this wave is going,
but I hope it takes me home.

dylan references.
what can i say?
it's good in my opinion?
i only came on this site for a laugh.
now i'm spewing out cathartic rants.

| I usually don't care for poetry, but this moved me! |

It will take you home if it hasn't already.
Hope is your compass. |

nice use of water imagery, without being too cliched.
"I'm soaked,
I'm soaked,
I'm soaked,
Alone, alive"
The repetition and break in rhythm echo the poem's emotion. I love it. |
