I walked by your house today
But you don’t live there anymore
Memories thrown beside the way
Call out to me from empty doors
Windows broken, steps disused
All the paint was peeling
Every mark an ancient wound
That never finished healing
Everything we’d built together
Suddenly was gone
And I hope this pain lasts forever
Cause somehow we did not
I didn’t need to go inside
To see the barren walls
I knew already what I'd find
In empty rooms and lonely halls
I’d see all the broken nails
Where our memories used to hang
Forgotten songs and untold tales
From better, brighter days
Our love may have been fantasy
And not everything it seemed
But if this world is reality,
Then leave me to my dreams...

I enjoyed this. I especially liked the last two stanzas. The second stanza had me stumbling a bit. Dont know if it was a rhythm thing or word choice. Something just didnt scan right. Other than that, well done.
