Thinking of Tomorrow

No matter what tomorrow brings,
There is always something that shines
In my mind's eyes I know that light
Is you.
When all my hope is gone
When my spirit is broken
I know that no matter what the next day
Will throw into my lap
You will help me
See it through
The very air that I breathe
The keeper of my heart
My whole heart
The soulmate, I longed for my entire life
The one that I will always
Hold dear.
Something doesn't seem right,
And its getting to late for me to be
Chain-smoking into the night
I will think of you
Dream of you
Just like I used to do
And maybe,
With enough dreaming
With enough hoping
You will come back to me.

Very moving poem. It is sad due to the alone hope felt and strong thanks to your word choice. Flowed extremely well too.

And its getting to late - "too"

Thanks for the read!
