Dried Out..!!!!

I walked sadly, while slowly and slightly
Shone the quiet sun
And trees shed thier leaves
As fall was on time

Then came along, stopping me at once,
A sound or cry, I believe
Which made me anxious for a while
But soon I found, it was the leaves

Lost in my thoughts, once again,
leaves beneath crushed again.
Watching me, a passer said,
He too enjoyed trampling leaves.

Surprised, I heard the leaves reply,
"We are dry and in woe
empty of love
same as you!

There is pity for flowers on the ground
And nothing for us often crushed down."
Now there was silence once again
leaving me staring down.

But now, I knew something well
A lesson: to love to get some love.
It is indeed a thing so true,
As rare in our hearts now is love.

very pretty, i like the analogy of love to the fallen leaves....evokes me to thnk about how love falls about us at times and we cannot touch it before it is dead and dying..thank you for sharing...
