Downfall Of Civilisation

Downfall Of Civilisation

Malls mauling my senses
Re-formatting my mind,
Their influence extensive
My priorities realigned.
+
I must have it now
I can't wait 'til tomorrow,
My funds won't allow
So I'll just have to borrow.

Society's taught me
That debt's the norm,
Sanity's forgot me
Force me to conform.

I'm poor getting poorer
Liberally feeding fat cats.
Mein credit card mein fuhrer
Locked in capital combat.

Red letters through my letterbox
But I just keep on swiping,
Depth of debt no longer shocks
Let them keep on writing.

'Greed' , 'Now' are buzzwords
Building blocks of our nation.
The needy now is absurd
The downfall of civilization.
