Shadow Phantoms

Flickering candlelight sputtering sways
Creating shadow phantoms
Incense burning in swirling spirals
Wafts perfume
Stillness reigning supreme in meditation
Time in suspended animation
Creates ethereal worlds
Beyond soul

-Proving-

Soul beyond
Worlds' ethereal
Creates animation suspended in time
Meditation in supreme reigning stillness
Perfume wafts
Spirals swirling in burning incense
Phantoms' shadow creating
Sways
Sputtering candlelight flickering

Love the word play in this. How you have reused the words of the first stanza in the opposite direction kinda like the swirl spiral of incense.
Clever form. :)

Hi Maggie, You're spot on! I had finished my meditation and these lines had floated in in that silence. Thank you for your opinion.

You use an interesting style. I enjoy your imagery. I'm allergic to perfume, but I could nearly smell it--and certainly visualize it.
My favorite part of this poem is "Stillness reigning supreme in meditation/Time in suspended animation." Very nice.

And welcome to Si. I'm sure you'll like it here.
