Silent

Hush

don't touch

don't breathe a word.

Forget the pain

of all we've heard.

No more music

through the halls.

No more shouting,

still the walls.

Colors fade now

into white.

Silence crowding

out the night.

Peace and quiet

calm my head.

Still and silent

in my bed.

Don't say"love"

Don't say"hate"

Not a whisper,

words can wait.

No vacancy

I want to fill.

Still and silent

Silent...still.

I really like the rhyming in this piece. It just works well. I really enjoyed reading it.
