The Hollow Glow Romance

It feels like I have been waiting for something
The worthless wooden tables have decades of tears and liquor in them
She speaks softly,
I don't hear what she is saying
But her lips move like a symphony
I love the way she tilts her head when she laughs,
but I can't hear what she is saying
I had something to say,
but I couldn't understand the words
I still can't remember what I am waiting for.

I saw her for the first time all over again
The walls haven't changed, but the people have
They smile and laugh,
but I can't hear what they are saying
She is sitting closer to me,
I can smell her sweat
Her laughter is so clear amongst the chaos
I want to hold her words close to me,
and listen to them whenever I feel sad

The walls have turned colors,
But the sounds are all the same
I want her to know, (speak now, she wants to know)
but it starts all over again.
The liquor stains here aren't so deep,
I don't even remember the taste of tears
Will she ever let me down?
It doesn't matter,
she is worth waiting and falling for
If only I could take her somewhere, and be alone.

Where there aren't any liquor stains.
