Grin
Step by step you walked to my table,
A grin on your face yet looking so fatal.
Your eyes looking sharp and your mind so clear,
You make it seem like life is so fair.
You talk the talk and walk the walk,
Always a grin and mysterious look.
You tapped me on my shoulder just to say hello.
I turned and tell you it's time to go.
Side by side we walked on the path.
Never stopping, a good luck we lack.
The sound of our voices filled the hole,
Of distance and lonesome we both felt so.
Hand in hand we took another step,
The mist in the air our eyes finally met.
You grin at me I smile like a fool,
In my heart I say nice to see you too.

| That's nice. Not all of it made sense to me, but I've never been that good at poetry or understanding it. It flows very nicely. I can actually see this guy walking around with you. |

Hey
This felt just right, like it would be perfect set in New York City or something. Really easygoing but also kind of mishmash, and the final line was absolutely perfect.
Thanks very much for the read |

| I liked this poem but do not understand the "a good luck we lack" but things always seem to go over my head. |
