Patience

I must be dancing with the sea
inviting faith to float with me
liquid arms that cannot hold
but they surround around my love
washed away upon a wave
into depths I cannot see
unless I choose to breathe
as mermaids do
and marrying sweet misery to the muse
do I abuse the artist's soul
to see beauty, if only once
and know my patience is true

Good one, Sylphessence. Shades of 'Not waving, but drowning'...
