Alone for Two

She is here, but am I with her

I see her, touch her, feel her

But am I with her

She shares everything in her heart with me

But do I feel her

The loss of a child, amidst stress and confusion

But do I feel her pain

The loss of our jobs, now with no income

I still feel nothing

Alone, in the streets, no reason, no cares

HOW DID I GET MYSELF STUCK HERE

Painful to read, but in all the right ways.

Excellent, Josh. I thought you were with her all the way, until the last line screams 'Let me out of here!'
I'm not surprised this was published - the first of many, I'm sure...

Nice emotion. Just a small point about spelling, should 'admidst' be amidst? :)

It's very deep. It portrays conflicts that many people have nowadays.
