The Love We Had

How do you tell someone you married
That the love you had has faded away
The passion I once had with her
Has now left my body, forever, today

The passion we had was so strong and pure
But now it's a faded memory in my mind
All we do now is argue and scream
what has happened to us, it's time for us to find

A new reason for us to be together
For sex is no longer the answer
Maybe this is the time to let go
Maybe it's time for a transfer

Unless we find a new way to love
This is the end I'm afraid to say
I don't know how to say this to you
So I leave you this note, as I run away

There's a difference between love and lust. When sex is the only thing keeping two people together, it's just not enough. With that I agree, but you could do so much more with this piece.

Last line is pure gold. If you edit keep that just the same.

I agree about the repetition of the word passion. That could do with replacement.

i LOVE this. it's so honest and incredibly easy to relate to. i really dig the second to last stanza. it's almost comical...the way all of this can go through a person's head while the other one in the relationship is utterly and completely oblivious. this is fabulously done!

very relatable... but i think you wrote it at a very elementary level i beleive the rhyming was unneeded and actually brought the relationship to look like a very bubble gum level.... idk man this one just didnt do it for me
