New Motto

I have a new motto. I have
tattooed it on the insides of my
eyelids, I have carved it into

the old oak tree in the Town
Square, I have named my yacht
after it, I have hung from a rope and

chiseled it into the rock face, I
have sewed tags into my clothes, I
have added it to the choruses of

songs, I have spelled it out with
flowers in the rock garden, I have
drawn it on my sleeping lover's skin with

kisses, I have welded it onto the
side of a barge, I've painted it on the
town water tower, I've embroidered it

on an heirloom sampler, I've hired a
skywriter to emblazon it on
the blue over my head:

Enjoy.
