Muffy the bear was shaking with exitment
as her little paws rang the doorbell. For the first
time she had a babysitting job. Her aunt cindy and
uncle jeb were going out to dinner and asked muffy
to watch yhe cubs.

Chip and sandie were the cutest baby
bears in the whole wide world and muffy couldnt
wait to play with them. The only thing that muffy's
aunt asked her to do was give the cubs a bath before
bed. It seemed like an easy request so she agreed to
do it.

The little cubs were so giddy to see
their cousin that they jumped right on her and they
all tumbled to the ground. " All right kids settle
down" aunt cindy said. " Muffy i left the phone number
to the restaurant on the kitchen table. If you need
anything don't hesitate to call" aunt cindy said. " Ok
aunt cindy i'm sure everything will be fine" said muffy.
" We will be home around 10:00 and don't forget to give
chip and sandie their bath" " Right aunt cindy will do"
said muffy.

Trying to be a responsible babysitter
muffy decided to give the cubs their bath early. That
way they could have some tv time before bed. Sandie and
chip just loved watching cartoons and muffy thought
about making popcorn too if the cubs were good during
their bath.

So muffy took the cubs up to the bathroom
and started the water. She also added bubbles and set
out clean towels. She handed them both a toy boat and
washclothes along with the soap.

Ring, ring, ring " Oh no the phone is
ringing i will be right back". As muffy answered the
phone chip climbed out of the tub and locked the bathroom
door. " Giggle, giggle, hah, hah " went the cubs. They
new they had the bathroom all to themselves. " She will
never get in now " said sandie.

After the phone call muffy headed back to
the bathroom and noticrd the door was closed. " funny
i don't remember closing the door " said muffy. She
tried to open it but no luck. " Sandie, chip i can't
get the door open can you help? muffy asked. No answer.
" Cubs i need you to unlock the door". Still no answer.
Just then she heard laughing and giggling from the other
side of the door.

Muffy tried to think. They are doing this
on purpose she thought to herself. How am i going to
get in there before they mess up the bathroom? Then she
remembered the open window.

While swiftly rushing down the stairs muffy
thought about how she would climb to the window from
outside of the house. Now being a young cub herself she was petrified about falling from the window while climbing
in.

She held on with all her might. " When i
get my hands on those naughty cubs their going to be in big trouble" muffy cried. " I can't believe they did this
to me " she whimpered. With each reach of her paws the pain would increase more and more. Finally with all her
little might she heard splashing and new she had reached the window. Muffy forced her little body over the window sill and hung on panting.

Muffy caught her breath and climbed over accidentally bumping a potted plant full of flowers that crashed to the ground. Then all od a sudden muffy slipped off the window sill and fell into the bathtub splashing bubbles all over the room.

Sandie and chip had looks of wonderment as muffy sat their in the tub all wet and soapy. Muffy looked at her cousins and asked " Why did you lock me out of the bathroom? You both know that your not aloud in the bathroom by yourselves ". " But we weren't alone we had each other "sandie said.

As muffy unlocked the door and tried to dry off she heard footsteps comming up the stairs. Aunt cindy
and unle jeb came home early and were looking for muffy.
" What is going on in here? " asked aunt cindy. " What a mess and why aren't you two in bed? " asked uncle jeb.

Muffy tried to dry herself off while aunt cindy cleaned the bathroom. " Muffy would you be willing to try again next weekened? " asked aunt cindy. " I would
really like that aunt cindy ". " We will keep this story a secret. Their is no reason to worry your folks for no reason " aunt cindy said. " You have a deal " said muffy and they both laughed.
