I Should Write a Poem Today

Written: 11/8/2004

I should write a poem for you today,
But don't really have that much to say.
You & I've been conversin' in a regular style;
As if we are bound to last quite a while.

Still I can't believe this exr'ordiary find -
Meeting each other when we were both out of our minds!
It wasn't a set-up, wasn't even a date
We just happened together to commonly relate.

And now, the friendship we own is as one without onset;
We will do all for each other never considering regret.
Should marriage be the outcome of us being friends,
I can already see that that too, will never ever end.

... I know what you mean, Isismarie, it's like rhyming poems are old-school. Thx for your comment.

This is pretty neat. I don't generally like poems that rhyme. But this one is pretty neat.
