Racist Immigrants

Racist Immigrants

I went searching for the Irish in Dublin,
Looked around and found none of 'em
But Poles , Slavs and Croatians
Run the capital of our nation.
I'm not racist. I welcome them.
Come along, bring some friends.
Coz our hours pay's their day of labour,
East Europe to here, Eire's their saviour.

Which is strange, for for four hundred years
Us Irish did our utmost at getting out of here.
We're strewn across the globe,
Crossed the 7 seas
In scurvy boats of hope,
Riddled with disease.
We weren't warmly welcomed
In the lands that we landed.
Our new lives hellsome,
Paddys we were branded so
I didn't think we'd be ignorant
Once the tables turned
But we ostracise immigrants.
Past teaches, we're unlearned.
