I Should Write Another Poem Today

Written: 11/8/2005

I should write another poem today,
Cause I've really got alot to say.
Should I write about war?
Should I write about peace?
I'd rather write about bacon grease!

I should write another poem today
Cause I like to make words JUMP and p~l~a~y
At times I'm wHyM-syKaL
At times I'm DEEP
And often I'll be writing when I should be asleep

Naw, I ain't writing no poems today
I know it won't be what you think I should say
I might mention God
At times I may curse
So dare if you may, indulge in my verse.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, Janet!
Oh yes, Dseko, I will admit, I am a procrastinator.
And thank you too, Timeakinga.

Well, I found my favorite. This is precious. Sounds like I feel at times when I write, but you can't please all the people all the time. In fact, you can rarely please anyone else, so I just try to please Him. Awesome. Janet

Laughter, reality, variety, it's all there. This was a fun read. Liked the way you did wHyM-syKaL and p~l~a~y. Adds personality and also speaks to the procrastinator in some of us.

This is excellent. I can definitely relate to it. That's us, writing poems, even when we don't want to! :-) I really enjoyed reading this.

Thanks, And What. That's exactally how I started this piece ... not knowing where it was headed to. Turned out to have a twist & finalized in a proposition for the reader. This one was fun.
