Desperate Prayer

being given over to my reprobate mind
yet stil praying
hoping its not too late
having dropped the proverbial ball
i sit in my corner
of despair
crying out
lifting my hands one last time
my heart gropes throught the empty air
oh god
where have you gone?
i have found that i cannot survive
illusions of a better life
taunt me incessantly
heartache pulls at me
swallowing me piece by piece
i am ruined inside
scattered pie3ces of a puzzle
a vision lost
potential wasted
mind deteriorated
now eternity waits
oh god
where have you gone

please come take me away....
