Just to see
There's something in my heart
I know not what
But it keeps me searching
With eyes almost shut
A few dreams lie in a field
Long since gone fallow
Burned down to their cinders
Surronded by useless tallow
Some bright things too
Flicker here and yonder
A maybe here, a might there
Enough to make me ponder
Can I find my path
Amidst all the debris?
Right turn here, wrong turn there
A field made only of me
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow
All blend into who I could be
Do I but have the courage to look
Guess we'll just have to see

Very nice, mixed emotions, dwelling in the dark, searching for yourself.
L like it a lot, easy reading and some ryhme too.
Write on. |

| The casual sort of tone in this is nice. |

| Artfully composed. The theme actually reminds me of something we Muslims believe: human beings are naturally born with a moral compass that will guide us to do what is right. |
