The Devil's Fourm Ch. 3
Chapter 3.
'Good morning, Sean!'
'Hey.'
'Why do you look so sleepy?'
'Late night, no thanks to you.' he said lazily
'Oops, hey, was it the call from last night?'
'That and the article I had to read.'
'How was it?'
'Well, the guy I read was completely nuts, and he struck it rich. Only condition was, every time he makes big money, someone in his family dies.'
'That's terrible!'
'Yeah, maybe to us, he couldn't give a crap.'
'That's sickening.'
'Yeah, I know.'
It was a chilly, brisk Friday morning. Both Sean and Kimmi patiently stood at the bus stop at the corner of the street.
'Hey, Bill!' Sean Yelled.
'What's going on, Sean?' He shouted back
'Nothing.'
He looked over at Kim with a slight glare in his eye. 'Still hanging out with Ms. Devil girl?'
'Shut up! You stupid jerk.' She said as she lunged toward him with the intent to choke him.
'Get the hell off me you damn witch. Stupid little skank.' He yelled back at her as he pushed her off.
'Oh my God I hate you!'
'Does it look like I give a damn?'
'Go away!'
'HEY, HEY, HEY!!! Knock it off, both of you! Geez, you two were inseparable a little while back. You shouldn't let one stupid argument cause you two to hate each other. You're both acting like kids.'
'One, this has nothing to do with you, and two, the girl is into devil worship and witchcraft and....'
'Shut up, you know there are good reasons why I'm into this, I'm curious by nature, that's one reason why you loved me in the first place!'
'As I was saying, I hate that crap, and I hate you.'
Just as he said that, Kimmi burst into tears and ran off.
'Heh, serves her right.'
'That's wasn't right Bill.'
'It was the truth, sometimes the truth hurts.'
'You know, sometimes you're a little too cold.'
'Oh well, that's just how life is sometimes.'
'I'll chalk this up to you waking up on the wrong side of the bed and forgive you.'
'Ha, I don't need your forgiveness, screw that, and for that matter, screw you!'
By this time, Sean was fuming and was ready to fight.
'You think this is a joke! She loved you, still loves you! Why the hell are you going on like this?'
'What? Choking those you love is a sign of affection?'
'You provoked her!'
'Bitch needs to learn self-control.'
They stood silent for another few minutes before the bus arrived.
'Here's the bus.' Sean quietly said.
Both of them boarded without saying another word to each other. Sean sat next to another of his friends, Terra.
'What's your problem? You look like you're ready to kill someone. Is something the matter?'
'Bill, he's my problem.'
'I thought you two were best friends.'
'Were.'
'You two fight?'
'Not yet, just yelling. If he keeps carrying on, I will beat the crap out of him.'
'What happened?'
'He went too darn far talking crap to Kim.'
'Oh.'
The bus finally arrived at school and As Sean walked out, he noticed Kim standing there waiting for him.
'Sean, I can't believe you're still friends with that punk.'
'Heh, sez who?'
'Oh, I didn't mean to harm your friendship with him.'
'I knew you first, and nobody talks to my friends like that and expects to get away with it. So don't sweat it, it was probably for the best.'
'I hope so.'
