The Devil's Froum Ch. 7

Chapter 7.

As Kim sat at home, she recollected all of the events that happened that day. She sniffed the air, and sensed the aroma of the pine air freshener plug in. She smiled to herself as she developed a new appreciation for living. She was just glad to be home, and more importantly, glad to be alive.
'Better get to reading another article then. I'm sure that if a we can't be the only people in history to have seen an actual attack from the devil.' She thought to herself.
She his the power button and the computer started to boot. Just as she was getting ready to log onto her computer, she noticed a dark figure standing out in the rain. It was Bill, he was getting ready to climb up the ivy that leads up to her room.
'Bill!? What are you doing here? It's 9:30 at night!'
'Sorry to bother you at this time, but I got nowhere else to go right now.'
'What? Why's that?'
'That drunk, abusive, cheating, backstabbing bastard brought his girlfriend in, so while those two are probably passed out in each other's arms, I'm locked out!' Bill said in a low, but furious whisper.
'Why were you out?'
'Heh,' Bill snickered, 'I wasn't. I ran out before he locked it, and before you ask, look at this and it should explain everything.'
After he said that, he started to lift his shirt off. She noticed that his body was extremely soaked, due to walking out in the rain, but then she saw a horrible, large bruise on his side.
'Oh my God!' Kimmi gasped in fear. 'What did he do!?'
'Ts, motherfucker found my steel bat, that's what.'
'Why don't you call the c-'
'NO!' Bill interrupted, 'I have never, nor will I ever get help from those crooked low-life pigs!'
'But, but they can help.' She stuttered.
'Not me, they gave up on me a while ago. Even while he's drunk, he's a good liar and a good fake.'
'Then what can you do?'
'Nothing, just take it. Or, that's what I used to do at least. I'm done with that shit. Now it's my turn. That bastard is gonna know the pain and suffering of all this bullshit that he's putting me and my mother through!'
'I know there's absolutely nothing I can say or do that will have you change your mind, just a word of advice, don't go doing anything stupid, alright!?'
'Fine. In the meantime of me not doing anything stupid, where am I going to stay? Terra doesn't exactly like me that much, never has. Sean's house is always full with guests from different places, and your mom doesn't exactly see eye to eye with me.'
'Don't worry about a thing, I'll handle it.' She said as she walked to her door. 'Mom! Bill's staying the night here, alright!'
'Why!?' Kimmi's mom yelled back.
'Personal problems.'
'Keep the door open, sweetie.'
'Okay, I will.'
'Heh, man that was easy.'
'I know, my mommy loves me.' Giggled Kim. Then her tone changed. 'Does your mother know about this other woman that your dad has, or even that he's a raging drunk?'
'Yeah, but she's kept it quiet. He doesn't know that though. He can do whatever he wants; he won't allow me to visit her, though. It sucks. If I do go, it's at the risk of my own life. But I don't care anymore. As of today, I'm cutting him out of my life. I own my life, not him.'
'Well, it's 10:00 now, and my life is telling me that I need to go to bed.'
'10:00!? I usually don't think about sleep `til 1.'
'Sorry pal, I don't make the rules, I just live by them. I'll be right back, I gotta go change, no peeking either.' She yawned.
'Okay.' He laughed.
While Kim was out, Bill took advantage of that and meditated. He thought abut how he was going to deal with his father. More like taking revenge on him for all the wrongdoings that have been done to him. He had thought of many ways to do it too, but he felt too scared to pull any of them off. Bill may be a bully, but he was no murderer.
'Well, I know I can't do any of that stuff, but if I wish for it, who knows, it may just happen. After all, I am being careful what I'm wishing for'¦' He then put his head down and closed his eyes. 'I wish something, anything could happen to my father, he doesn't deserve to live, not after all he's put us through.'
'Hey,' Kimmi said groggily as she walked back in into the room. 'Just so you know, you're sleeping on the floor.'
'Aww, just as I hoping I could sleep with you.'
'Uh, no.' she said as they started laughing. 'Well, good night, I'm going to sleep.'
'Okay, good night.'
Just as Kimmi proceeded to turn off the lights, she heard someone's voice urgently yelling to her outside.
'KIM!'
'Who is that yelling at me?'
'It's me, Sean, and Terra's with me too!'
Kim looked out of the window and saw the two forms standing outside soaking wet.
'Wait a sec, I'll let you in.'
Kim and Bill ran downstairs as fast as they could. When she opened the door, Terra and Sean were both standing there, soaked to the bone, still in their pajamas and jackets.
'What are you two doing here, are you retarded?' asked Bill, 'You two are gonna get sick.'
'It's important,' Sean said, although confused by Bills presence, 'It's about your father.'
Sean and Terra's faces were pale white. Not only from the blistering cold rain, but from the sheer terror of the sight that they just witnessed.
'What? Did the idiot crash another car again?' retorted Bill.
'No'¦he's dead. But it wasn't from that.' Uttered Terra. She was shaky, disturbed, and terrified from the horrible sight she had seen. 'That thing, it-it didn't die, it came back, and'¦and'¦'
'NO!' gasped Kim, 'That can't be right; I could've sworn I ripped that thing apart!'
'I-no-I didn't mean, no, this can't be right'¦' sputtered Bill, who was also shaking in the fear that it may be his fault that his wish came true. 'We have to go see, did anyone call the cops?'
'No, this is way too unbelievable for them to see, they'd probably bust us too.' Said Sean.
'Then let's go!' Kimmi said, as she grabbed her jacket. 'And if that thing is still there, then I'm bringing the fight to him!'
