Today I finally got a smile
After so many days of silence
My heart bursts as I think
Maybe it will all go my way today
Maybe today I'll be the one

I gave you all that I had
Everything I could've had
Just for a chance to be with you
A chance that got thrown away

You told me that you loved me
But I wonder if that was a lie
I think of all your promises
But not today

Today I smartened up
Today I got slammed with the truth
No denying today is the day
I should let you go
I know it's time to move on
Time to find another

Although I know this I know in my heart
I can't let you leave
That one smile and those green eyes
Would melt my heart today
