On The Inside

Looking out the window
I remember all the times
Good and bad
And I hate you
For the way I feel
And I pray to God
Soneday this will be over

You turn your back
Shut out all you see
But don't realize
I'm the same as always
On the inside

My secrets I hide away
All my hopes and dreams
My insecurities
All you do is add to them
But when I'm me
I'm untouchable
Don't care what you think
Don't care what they think

You turn your back
Shut out all you see
But don't realize
I'm the same as always
On the inside

You taught me not to judge
Yet do it to me
Opinions float around me
Can't you see

Just what you do
Words that cut
More than a knife
That you can never take back

You turn your back
Shut out all you see
But don't realize
I'm the same as always
On the inside
