To Imagine....

To imagine...

Have you ever imagined a fairytale, where you closed your eyes and believed it was real?
Something so bizarre and unrealistic, but under your eyelids, are as real as the words you read? To imagine, is simply the most wonderful thing, one person can do on one's own. It is creating reality with simply conjuring up a thought that appeases the mind.

Have you ever dreamed so deep, that you wake up wondering where you were, because
the world you were in was so real? Well, maybe that world wasn't so unreal, after all, if you
believe.

The words on a page, are often the gate way to a person's imagination. as the eyes
glimpse over all the black and white letters, the mind picks at them, creating its own reality
within the boundaries of the mind.

The picking up of a pencil, and simply drawing a few lines to generate an image is the
creating of reality on a sheet of paper. The very same with jotting down a few words to flow
together into a sentence of the highest intelligence, or the least bit of nonsense, is to imagine.

"A tall man with white eyes, and limbs as thin as twigs, his nose flat, and his mouth thin,
but small," you might read, and what do you imagine? Is the tall man in front of you? Does his
flat nose look attractive to the eye, or does it make you turn from him? What does his thin mouth
say? Is he quiet, or rather loud, and active? How exactly do his limbs move, the ones like twigs?
Does he bend down slowly, with a single flower in his hand to greet you, or does he tower over
you to greet the mind with fear? And his eyes. His blank white eyes. What do they tell you? Are
they filled with kindness, or hate? What kind of person is he, can you see it in his white eyes?
Imagining is what it is, and its how you imagine things in your own way, that opens doors to a
brand new world. Maybe what you see is exactly as it reads. Or maybe you see him much
differently. No one person's mind is the same, so everyone sees him in his own little world, as if
he only exists there.

To imagine...

Maybe you feel like a child when you imagine, so you often ignore the feeling of wanting
to think up something utterly ridiculous and call it a masterpiece. You have no talent, or do you?
Maybe the pencil sitting on your desk is waiting for you to use it, beckoning for you to take hold
of it and have a confidence that whatever comes to mind, is your own, which has meaning.

Sharing your imagination, is what takes people far. "No, I'm much to stupid to have
anyone ever read my work," you might say. "No, this drawing is simply too horrible to be looked
at," you might say. Well, you're wrong. A well known artist does what he does through imagining
something; having a vision, and playing it out. Your work might never compare to his, because
you aren't him; it's a piece of genius in itself to your eyes.

So go on, imagine; let the unthinkable, be thought.

Excellent writing, an essay that makes someone think what if is always a great piece. Left me wanting more, more in a sense of the things you have imagined.
