Visionary

Peace is
vibrant,
not the absence
of conflict and war but
something more
worth striving for

Peace is
vivid,
the colors of life
not the gray of
death and destruction;
it's vision in unison

Peace is
viable,
if only we try--
fighting is easy, but it
lacks the glory of unity
the hope of serenity

Linda, this is a wonderful poem. The last stanza is so true. This is a great piece, thanks.

I'm not sure this world actually knows what it is to have such a peace. Humanity has been at war for so long, the only peace it knows is the peace that envelopes a dead city as the dust settles. Hopefully we'll soon know what it is to have a vibrant, colorful peace.

Well written, Linda! I loved the contrast, especially your use of colors to get the message across. The last stanza for me was the best. This left me wanting more though. =)

Linda, Im quickly finding out that you have an excellent way of showing so much with so little. I love it.

What a neat write. Yeah, the glory of unity, the hope of serenity -- how easily taken for granted such things can become. Thank you.
