We're All Choir Boys At Best...Intrusive and Arrogant...
*Liar, Liar...If we're keeping score'¦..*
Those are lyrics from kind of new band named Taking Back Sunday...
The kind of band that your parents would say,
"Back when I was your age, our bands used more than 3 chords in a song!"
[Which I find hilarious, because what did THEIR parents say?]
I love their lyrics, though
Sort of makes you think...
Do you ever notice, when you were young, or even now...You or the other person you would fight with would say "There, now we're even..?" Is fighting about keeping score?
Is LIFE about keeping score?
Christianity...Always have to do good deeds, and not sin.
Karma...What you do always come back around?
The rules of witchcraft...Anything you do will come back 3 folds...good or bad.
Even if you don't have a religion, you always have that guilty conscience.
Who gets to choose what the right thing to do is? Or what's the wrong thing to do?
Is it some force outside of our control?
Or is it something so deep inside of us that we just can't get our grubby little fingers on?
But, I guess this is what every human being tries to figure out in their lifetime'¦but the only answer is after it all'¦
Keeping score might not have ANYTHING to do with what's beyond our reach.

How did you get so smart, Kiddo!
You have interesting points, but have you considered that as humans, we keep score because we are emotional being. I don't care what anybody says... we are all competitive. If anybody has ever been jealous or envious, then you were being competitive. Competition is what keeps us strong and striving to better ourselves... Therefore, comma, we keep score.
Your points were thought out well, I like that, your writing skills are improving greatly. You make me proud, kiddo! |
