To be or not to be with God'¦

In the begininning God created the heavens and the Earth'¦.yada yada yada, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them'¦.or wait a minute that's how the story goes right? But this god, this all knowing, all loving, all powerful god instead of he creating us was it us who created him and would we be better off without such a being? Would we be better off to live this life on our own, to take our lives into our own hands?

To be or not to be with God'¦

What kind of God is this we have created? This is not a loving god, a god that's all good, all knowing. This is a god of fear; a god of war, a god of genocide and hate. This God we have created only exists because we allow him to. Religion is yet another thing that keeps us divided. Why must we all be so divided? If its not one thing it's another. We are all different and that's a beautiful thing. I will never understand why so many have to die in the name of religion. I think its about time that we start accepting one another's differences. Differences aside its time we end the killing. How many more people must die? And what good is this war, is there truly any rewards to be gained? Holy war? If your god really wanted one sole religion to reign over all the earth then why are there so many other religions present today? There are probably just as many different religions as there are different types of people. And for every religion there is a different God; each of us creating our own world with our own individual perceptions of the divine or holy. Our real war should be fought against religion. Religion is one of the very things that keep us divided. Jews vs. Muslims vs. Christians, etc. There's no end. We will be fighting this war until all religions meet there end, or we come to accept one another for who and what we are. Will this ever happen? Ha not in a million years. We will all bury the ones we love in response to the fear so many of us are under the control of. Bury your religion before you bury another child. You're supposedly fighting a war to create a better future for your people, but look around you. The only thing you're doing is killing the future; killing a generation that is already dead. All that is left are the remains, the mangled remains of a lost and confused people searching for hope, for truth, for solace; in a world that has allowed none of this to exist. True evil lies in expecting everyone to be exactly like you; which is something we all in one shape or another do. We are conditioned to do so. We can't expect everyone to share the same beliefs as us. Differences help us learn more about ourselves. If we were all the same, what would there be to learn? Its great to have convictions and to fight for what you believe in, but there's a line that should not be crossed. No one should have to die or trade in their beliefs just so you can have yours and gain power by forcing your beliefs upon others. Should we be at war with ourselves? With those around us? Or should we be at war with God?
