Miei Domande Di Amore

Two lovers sat on the Ponte Vecchio watching the river flowing beneath them. Al around people were milling about, avoiding street vendors, taking photographs or simply crossing the river, heading for the Via de Guicciardini.

The man leaned over and kissed his partner, his eyes closing for a moment, savouring the sweet taste of her skin. The woman replied in kind, the cool breeze playing on her face, her hair dancing gracefully in the wind. She was the image of perfection. Her dirty blonde hair fell down to her shoulders, framing the beauty of her face. Her eyes blazed with life, energy and love. Oh how he adored those eyes. The way they changed from a blue-grey to a deep, jade green when she was upset. He looked at her, smiling uncontrolably. He felt himself falling in love all over again, the way he always did when she looked at him that way. He kissed her again.

***

A couple stumbled into their hotel room, barely able to reach the sofa before collapsing into a giddy haze. The woman fell first, giggling as she lay there, beautiful as ever. The man stood up, admiring her perfect body, the way her little black dress hugged every curve. She sat up, a look of mock disgust on her face, at the same time unable to stop herself grinning while reproaching her partner for leaving her on the sofa all alone.

The man smiled. He picked her up, carried her across the room and dumped her playfully on the bed. She lay for a moment before leaping towards him, grabbing his suit by the lapels and falling backwards with him, her lips glued to his.

They giggled quietly for a moment. She began to take his shirt and jacket off, then she leapt away, his shirt in one hand. She blew him a kiss then walked seductively towards the bathroom. The man waited. The shower started up and seconds later the little black dress was flung from the room. She appeared at the door wearing the man's shirt, unbuttoned enough to see a hint of cleavage. She moved slowly towards him, a loom of desire on her face. She straddeled him, kissing him passionatly, her body pressing up against his, her lips caressing every past of his body as she moved down.

She stopped at the base of his stomach and she stood up, her hand lingering on her lover's face. She made her way towards the bathroom, leading him with her. As they entered the room she closed the door behind them.

***

Two lovers sat together at the foot of a long flight of steps. The woman snuggled up to the man, her head resting on his shoulders, her hand on his chest. She looked up, her eyes meeting his. He leaned down and kissed her tenderly. She smiled lovingly.

***

Two lovers awake, the distance between them seeming too far to contemplate. They stand, dress and eat. The woman looks across the table at her husband. Her mind was filled with her lover and the memories of him.

She sighs, puting away the dishes and washing them.

Two alovers awake (I think you mean two lovers awake).

Good point. I got your meaning straight away. Passion seems like it will never end, yet it always does; and what have you got then? I guess friendship is what holds people together in the long-run, if indeed they do stay together.

Nice story, succinct. Thanks.
