Forever

The pain, oh the pain,
it clutches my heart,
runs up to my brain,
rushes through my blood;
it hurts,it hurts so bad.
So far away, yet,
so near;
You are gone I know,but,
I can feel you;
You may forget they say, still,
Only you I trust.
Come! Come to me,
hold me, just once so,
I may feel your love,
forever;
Kiss me, just once so,
I may forget that one day,
we must part,
forever.

Great poem...although not sure the first line with the repition of pain really caught me. I kind felt like it should have said something like... The pain, oh the pain??? I dunno, it was well done overall. I have never hda my heart ripped out like that.

As I was reading this poem, nothing was really reeling me in, until the last few lines. That's a great ending.

Love lost and unrequited love is something that causes great pain but make for great poems.

Just one last kiss...

A great read.**
