Mama Listen

MamaDear Mama  Why won't you listenFor you to hear me Is the only thing I'm wishingI wish you would take a minute to think about thisThat maybe, I am something you would missThe first time that I might call your nameThe first time we might play a game Maybe you might miss my first steps But if you wouldn't, could you live with no regretsWhy would you make me if you didn't want meBecause all I want is for you to comfort me To tell me that you're not going to do what I feel you're going to do Tell me that I might someday be able to see youTell me that I will be able to see the age of two That I might walk with you Down a road that leads no where but to 'togetherness'That I might be of some relevance If you only knew how bad I wanted to hear your voiceIt might sway your choiceThat wasn't mineI just wish I had some time But I don't I wish you would save me But you won'tYou'll never know what I could have becomeOr truly realize what you have doneBut it seems a child is something in your life that will remain missing I just wish you would listen
