Insomnia

Insomnia has overcome me
No sleep again tonight
I lie awake for hours
And wait for morning light
Dawn is fast approaching
Still I haven't closed my eyes
The god of night has yet to come
Why wont he hear my cries
Is this some sort of punishment
For all my many sins
I want to rest for just one night
Before another day begins

Sweet poem; great flow and rhyme. I can sympathize with your trhoughts as well, being an insomniac myself. Keep up the good work, and thanks for sharing.
