Values

My house was valued today
Two hundred thousand pounds they say
But I think they've got their values wrong
To me it isn't worth a song
A song I simply thought was free
The song that was Marie
What value life when love is gone,
I just exist, I suffer on.

I liked this for its simplicity and sincerity. Maybe one small consolation in loss is that it puts other things into some kind of perspective.
