first snow

a white sky
drops
a piece at a time
onto the land below
slowly
the sky is falling
not in a harsh
or angry way
but gently
like mother
blowing on soup
to cool it down
for you

I like the last few lines, but IMO snow is never dropped one piece at a time.
Snow is a good topic for a poem because there are so many ways of describing it.
