girl in the snow

she enjoys the cold
the snow reminds her
not of happier times, perhaps
but of home

her eyes know when it is snowing
and sensing it, they change
from blue to gray
welcoming
the familiar

her parka is white
blending with the snow
so
like the cheshire cat
her face hovers
surrounded by a furry hood
smiling

An easy read, painting a great picture. I sense snow by smell and I think it's on its way !
