Unchangeable God

Here comes the word!
When I was troubled,
When I asked 'why me?'
Then comes the word:
'Because I love you.
And I chastise those I love,'
Then I remembered my long forgotten name:
Oluwafemi
What a strength to my faith!
Oh my Lord loves me.
Who can I run to again?
Who can I call again?
And who can listen to me like Him?
He who knows my thought before I speak.
He was my eye when I couldn't see,
And he brought hope when I could not cope.
His counsels delivered me from the storm;
He put my mind at rest.
He said He has come because of me
And if I can confess and forsake my sins
He would forgive and reconcile me to God.
Yes, He really loves me,
He made me to discover my name.
I quickly claimed it
And it worked for me.
Oluwafemi:
The Lord loves me,
His eyes are always on me,
He forgets me not
And He never forsakes me.
He gave me the confidence to live-
Because he lives,
I can face tomorrow.....
He neither sleeps nor slumbers
In keeping His beloved.
He is the unchangeable changer
That changed my life by His touch.
When I was seriously worried,
He said I should worship.
He took me from grass to His glory,
He brought me from mortuary to his sanctuary,
And from prison He called me to His palace.
I was once a victim but now a victor;
For my adversities has brought opportunities.
I was once a beggar but now a giver;
For my poverty has turned to prosperity,
And my rag to riches.
He made my problems the progress road,
The stumbling blocks are now the stepping stones,
In my pains I found great gains,
And in my trials I saw triumphs.
My sweat now became sweet;
There are no more pressures but pleasures,
For my burdens have turned to blessings,
My noise to good voices,
And my crying to creations.
He also made my mess to be a message,
From zero level He made me a hero.
He crowned my sufferings with success
And my shame changed to fame.
Oh what a great love He had shown!
He removed all my reproaches,
And my ridicule changed to miracles.
All the blunders are now wonders,
Out of nothing I saw something.
He turned my tribulations to jubilations,
He saved a wretch like me,
And He gave me power over my enemies.
Those that determined to frustrate me
Now prostrate before me.
Those that caused humiliations for me
Now come to my celebrations.
Before they were laughing at me
But now they are laughing with me.
If it has not been the Lord who is my strength,
They must have swallowed me up.
But He pulled me out of their net.
Blessed be the Lord, my God
Who preserved me from the wicked,
Who never allow me to breakdown
Even before my breakthroughs;
Who turned my tests to testimonies;
Who filled my mouth with stories,
Great stories of Victories.
When I remember what the Lord has done
Never will I turn away from Him.
This Lord has given me peace
And He has given me life.
As a perfect planner,
He planned for my salvation
And gave my life a meaning.
Now my heart is rejoicing
Because He loves my soul.

This is such a wonderful poem, its reciprocates our gratitude to God in gratitude of its grace over us. Nice concept.

What a nice tribute to the Almighty. It is evident how much your life has changed because of God. Your poem was descriptive enough to highlight the past and the present state of your life. Very, very good work! keep it up!

This is a truly inspiring poem, and it could go on to the end of the world because God is worthy of endless praise. You met a lot of universal points that only God has ever really been able to help humans achieve. Many people will deny it, but our nature demands a connection to God.
