untitled love song xvii

And when you can't eat
And when you can't sleep
When misery sings
and your eyes sting

And when you sigh
Searching for signs
Of all the things
That aren't there

And in your room
Your empty bed
Where flowers once bloomed
Reminds you of what's dead

And the sun doesn't shine
A punishment to fit the crime

This is very nice...The stanzas flow well and it is very heartbreaking in a once-was-romantic sort of way.

What a lovely poem! Normally 6 lines that begins with "and" would be bothersome to me, but here it all seems so natural. Beautiful flow, and well worth reading again.
