Accelerate

Amphetamine speed star
Drifting from space to space
Changing outcomes
What's the race?
Loosing track
Get on the brakes
Cool it down
Don't leave a trace
Open the gate
Through the door
Batten down the hatch
The window caves in
Alarm bells ring
Now get awake
Get off the brakes
Now accelerate.
Jumping through time
Second by second
Get on the pace
This is a race
The corner comes up
Chill it out
Get on the brakes
Then through the apex
Hit the pedal accelerate
Accelerate
Accelerate
Top speed so fast
Going so fast
Got to get past
Nail it at last
Got to get past
Get past
Accelerate
Accelerate
Complex comes up
Hairpin, chicane and apex
Going so fast
So fast
Got to get past
Going so fast
The corner comes up
Get on the brakes
Then accelerate
Accelerate
Accelerate
Accelearte
So fast
Racing, so fast.

END

This poem is about the speed of racing very fast single seater racing cars that go up to 240mph. Goes very well as a live performance poem. Written in late 2006.

This is cool. I felt like I was sitting in the car. I don't know if the mc is hitting the brakes or the accelerater the most.
