Papercuts

With papers strewn everywhere, she let the window open and allowed the cool night breeze to sweep through the room, kicking up a few of the bone colored sheets. One blew right up under her foot as she stepped on it. Hearing the crumpling of paper, she bent down and picked it up. It read, 'Always do unto others as you'd have done to you.' She tore that paper into halves, then thirds, then quarters, enjoying the sound it made in her frail fingers. She kept walking around the room, picking up papers and reading their quotes, then ripping them to shreds. Each shred of paper, as they left her hand, left a small cut enough to make her bleed. She only pretended not to notice, though the pain was as sharp as a dagger to her heart. With each blood drop, there was a tear to match it. As they fell, they met onto the floor, leaving a dark stain. She walked around in the same room, even though the door was in plain view, she could not see it. Her white dress, now faded to black, just as her heart was beginning to. She only tried to laugh off the pain she was feeling both inwardly and outwardly.

'You've won! You've won!' she cried out loud, after stopping in the room. 'I give up. I now admit that I will never be what you want me to be. I admit that I will never be as good as the other two. I give in and give up. You have taken everything. You have stolen my mind and you can have it because it was never mine. You finally showed me that I will never be the person you want me to be. I will never be able live as you want me to, because I am a mistake!'

After a while, she dropped her head, tears flowing more freely now, darkening the spot she stood on. Suddenly, a person burst through the door. She did not look up, but the person ran forward, grabbed her and kissed her gently. He wiped away her tears said, 'No, love, they may give up on you I never will. I love you, Chi and always will. You are not a mistake, but a miracle. You remember that now.'

She smiled and kissed him back. 'Thank you Draco.'

And they walked out of room to help her start anew.

A/N: This story I wrote when I'Ĥ well'Ĥa little emo cuz'Ĥ.no one wants to know. BUT This is what I do as a release from my emo moments to help me and write the ending as happy because the man I love has made me nothing but happy. He has helped me out a lot and I can never thank him enough. All I can say is that I love him to the ends of the earth and always will cuz that will never change.

It is a rather good story but I think it needs a bit more to it. Why are there papers on the floor? Why are her fingers frail? Apart from that I like it

Hey,

This is a great story. It is well written and formatted i think.
however my only complaint is the last line. I wouldn't start the final sentence with the word 'and' it breaks the feeling of the ending and feels sloppy i tihnk. but that's just my opinion.
great imagery and great main character.

peace, thanks for sharing.
