Just a Second Chance

The riddle of your mind
It confuses me;
I don't understand you.
You still have feelings,
Or so I have heard,
And you still have heart,
But you don't want to work for it?
These things take work,
They take effort, beyond just love,
Yet you run
Forgetting about your feelings,
Hiding behind a false smile.

Isn't love everything?
The meaning of it all?
Then why not give it a chance
Instead of just dodging, avoiding,
You never know until you try,
But you seem content
Taking the easier road
Even though you will never know...

In the end
Will you regret not giving a chance?
Not taking the walk,
Choosing love and heart?
Years from now
Will you wonder what might have been
If only you gave us
A second chance?

I wont be here forever,
You need to come to me
If you want anything at all,
I don't know what to do anymore.

The last line is the absolute desperation to me. "I don't know what to do anymore".
The whole poem flows like your thoughts I think, just like talking to her directly, face to face waiting for some answers. But you don't get them and the final line shows your disappointment.
A good one again Jordan:)
