My Own Best Assassin

Some of you may have read this one before...it has been in my profile before, but I'm just getting around to uploading it, I figured it should be somewhere permanent :-)

I'm my own best assassin...

I've made so many mistakes,
Why can't I do anything right?
Will I ever pick the way
That will reward me
Instead of torture me?
Regret nothing, live for everything,
But living just creates more regrets...
Please, let me do something right.
Help me, I beg you.

Your words mirror mine. They truly do. living does create more mistakes. but being imperfect, it is to be expected. Every single human on this earth makes mistakes, until they die. It hurts to feel like that. but learning from them, makes us stronger. Thanks for sharing this poem. I enjoyed it.

I could feel the despair and unhappiness that you must have felt whilst writing this piece. Well done.

very straightforward. maybe you should extend the metaphor a bit. otherwise, it is good.

Short and powerful, a sentiment many if not all can realte to. I enjoyed this a lot because I could relate.
