Renew

As I stand before the ocean shore
And close my eyes
My tribulations
Are no more
With each wave crashing my heart
Becomes lovelier and the loveless ness
I clutch
Is no more
As the sea gulls sing their song to me
My soul begins to heal and liberate
As the sorrow I suffer
Is no more
With each breathe of ocean air I take
My senses begin to rejuvenate
As the staleness
Is no more
As I have stood before the ocean shore
I begin anew

I have felt exactly what you are speaking of here! The regenerative power of the ocean in incredible...beautiful lines.

I am a mountain gal, but love your use of the ocean to clean the slate and start over with renewed hope. LOL--I just noticed the title. I wrote "renewed" before reading the title. Great minds...
